I just heard from Debbie Magee that her giant pincushion pattern has been finalized and is now available!!!!!
So everyone who asked me about it when I posted the recount of the Stitcher's Dream Day Out can now obtain their own copy of the pattern. Please don't be jealous, but mine is on it's way to me already, and will probably be in the mailbox today - one of the perks of having fellow designers who are good friends as well!! I'm not rubbing it in.....really I'm not lol.....
If you want a reminder of the project that I'm speaking of....the one that EVERYONE seemed to go ga-ga over......then go back in my posts to the one titled The Stitcher's Dream Day Out. Deb's work is simply stunning, and I've been an admirer for a very long time. Her patterns are available from The Quilter's Angel (Highfields, Qld), Raggedy Station (Jimboomba, Qld) and The Quilter's Corner (Kepeera, Qld).
I'm hoping to take a break closer to Christmas and make my own giant pin-cushion. Like I said, I'm planning on doing a totally mod and funky version.....yes, sacriledge!!! But I can imagine it made in so many different ways. I'm thinking it would be fun to have a little gallery of pics from everyone who makes one.....so send me pics when you do, and I'll put something together on here. And while I think about it, I recently bought a bag of fibre fill made by Tontine and have to say it is the BEST stuffing material I've ever used. It will be brilliant for stuffing the pin-cushion.
Just quickly, before I go.....thanks to everyone who has emailed and commented on my "new" design, and for your name suggestions. I've decided on Teatime Roses, courtesy of the lady herself who worked the stitchery element for me.....so thanks Perri.....a copy of the pattern was always going to find it's way to you anyway lol.
Better get Little One up for school.....oh, and by the way, you'll be happy to know that Kenny has been re-instated on the bed :-) I swear he has a smile on his face lol.....
Till next time,
Leanne xx
PS.....I just re-read this one, and it sounds every bit as rushed as it was!!!!
Love the new look!!
Thank you for using 'Teatime Roses' as the pattern name - how excting!! :-))

Hey Leanne! I received the kit and pre-print for Debbie's sewing/pin cushion as my project at the Stitchers Dream Day Out! Have to say, it's not my usual style (bit 'girly' and fiddly!!) but it will be my 'in-between-deadline-projects' stitching, I think! I got most of the words stitched while on holidays, but since I've been back, it's been deadline-city for me!! Eeeek! Hopefully it will be finished for show and tell at next year's SDDO!! Looking forward to catching up next week! Oh - glad to hear Kenny's back where he belongs!! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)
