I just had to write tonight!!! Perri, bless her, has done the most beautiful work on the stitchery and delivered it to me last night.
So today I've made it into a project and I'm loving it......
Just a little sneak peak for you.....
I really love these fabrics from the Ava Rose range, and it's a shame there are no small prints included in it. But that's ok, a raid of the fabric stash has revealed some older pieces that fit in well with it.
I was sewing away today and had to smile as I was putting scraps into the little recepticle I use for rubbish.....it's a Coalport china bowl I got for my 21st birthday many moons ago. How like me to use such a beautiful piece for such an unglamourous purpose!
The old dressmaking scissors were my Mum's. They need a sharpen, but I like to use them. All day today, I felt her presence while I sewed. She was smiling.... :-)
Perri has taken another stitchery element to work for me. By the time it comes back I should be ready to reveal this pattern in it's entirety. Then it will be time for a giveaway or two.....yay!
I've also done some needleturn work today. I love to do needleturn, and find it so relaxing. I've done some step-by-step photos as I went. Is anyone interested in seeing them??
Ok, well I still have work to do even though it is late. Lynette and I are collaborating on some new buttons. It's been a while since Hugo button was created, and about time we jumped back into the buttons. As usual these ones will be soooooo cute. So I'm going to do a bit on them before turning in....
It's been a good day :-)
Night all
Leanne xx
Hey Leanne! Love the colours you're working with - they are just so fresh! I also love your fabulous china bowl! It may not be the most glamourous of uses, but is it better to be stuck in the cupboard and only brought out for 'special' occasions, or used regularly for something a little more mundane? I'm an advocate of 'get your pretty bowls/glasses/plates/platters out and use them - otherwise a 'special' occasion may not come and they won't have been enjoyed! Hope the rest of your week continues to be as productive - can't wait to see the finished projects!! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

Congratulations on your precious new gift, he's adorable. I also have 3 boys. They are 29, 29, and 27. Time really flies, so enjoy every step. It's funny, my one boy had a Cabbage Patch doll named Jeb, and I have a son named Kenny. Ironic isn't it. You have a lovely family.
